Job Description:
The successful candidate will have the drive, vision and experience to lead this effort. Deep experience in both online marketing in general and Marketing Automation (MA) in particular is critical, with keen insights into how MA can be integrated with various data sources, their cloud based Data Warehouse, CRM, SEO, SEM, online advertising, social mediamarketing and other online marketingchannels. Our client is a leading B2B business information, content and events company and is driving its focus on Marketing Automation, making it central to all marketing operations. This role will continue to evolve and lead the enterprise-wide marketing automation program for the US.  The candidate must have ELOQUA experience for this role and can be based in either Santa Monica or San Francisco. You have experience of large scale migrations and multi system management.The successful candidate will have the drive, vision and experience to lead this effort. Deep experience in both online marketing in general and Marketing Automation (MA) in particular is critical, with keen insights into how MA can be integrated with various data sources, their cloud based Data Warehouse, CRM, SEO, SEM, online advertising, social mediamarketing and other online marketingchannels.Lead the marketing automation practice across all divisions to drive key business metrics including leads, MQLs, SQLs and opportunities.Build automation programs around the customer experience working closely with marketing and sales teamsIdentify customer personas to establish lead scoring and nurturing mechanismsMaintain, optimize and enhance the marketing automation infrastructureManage, supervise and build MA staff as needed to support the MA workWork with cross-functional teams to create an enhanced MA strategy and action plan, and oversee implementation and optimization of the action planServe as the company’s MA thought leader and as a best practice consultantSet team strategy through analysis of historical marketing data.Own relationship with sales and marketing and forge strong communication and service level agreement (SLA) between all teamsEstablish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers.Measure results and optimize the nurture tracks for these segments to convert leads to customers.Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing productivity of their email sends.Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.Keep abreast of new development in MA and best practices, and keep divisions up to date on these topicsREQUIREMENTS:Ideally 10+ years of marketing automation experience, including experience creating MA strategies and implementation plansExperience with leading Marketing automation software, specifically Eloqua (Eloqua experience a must) and MarketoExperience integrating multiple systemsSuccess in leading a team of direct reports and cross-functional colleaguesExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsExperience working with executives
