Job Description:
Elite Technologies & Communications is growing again! Our company has several locations across the Eastern US and has proudly served our customers for twenty-two years with quality telecommunications service.

Elite specializes in advanced network communications, including central office engineering and installation of DC power, transport, access and switching.

*Minimum 7 years of current experience in conducting similar like type work within an ISP DC power industry environment, with lead tech experience required, management preferred.

Overview:
o Overseeing and enforcing work quality standards / tiger team troubleshooting
o Performing installation services within the Elite service areas
o Ensuring customer guidelines and schedules are met
o Maintain relationships with customers (engineers and job site personnel)
o Providing Initiative and leadership to the team in general and promoting a positive company culture

Position Overview/Qualifications:
The Field Operation Sr Tech - QC is responsible for the following tasks:
• Battery (telecom) installations and servicing
• Installation of rectifiers and power distribution equipment
• Power cable installation, lug crimping, lacing and all other duties associated with the installation and maintenance of DC power
• Grounding
• Alarm wiring
• DC power hot slides
• Installation of ironwork and cable rack
• Interpret and write scope of work, including MOP's
• Providing site surveys and assisting with quoting
• Scheduling jobs and projects on a weekly basis
• Coordinating equipment and parts for staging
• Estimating scrap metal and equipment for each job
• Coordinating site access with site personnel/customers
• Providing close-outs for jobs
• Study project specifications & previous site assessments to identify customer solutions based on cost, reliability, constructability, complexity, and maintainability, including fabrication, modification, or specialty component purchases
• Develop scope of project functions, such as design, additional site assessments, environmental studies, surveying, or field support services that maybe required
• Provide verbal or written project status reports to project teams, management, subcontractors, and customers
• Assist in evaluation and assessment of final results. Assist in activities for on-going maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems, as requested
• Mentor or train project team members as needed and attend OEM and customer training sessions
• Creating agendas and participating in weekly strategy meetings

Requirements:
• Valid driver's license with good driving record - required
• Must pass DOT physical, pre-hire drug screen, and background check
• Verifiable work references
• Associates or Technical degree from college, or high school degree /GED and military training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven ability to provide customer packages & documents
• Has comprehensive knowledge of DC Power and its applications (minimum of 5 years’ experience in Central Office Installation)
• Has comprehensive experience in leadership roles
• Computer skills - Microsoft Office products
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor
• Frequent travel required
• Basic understanding of OSHA & safety guidelines for telecom personnel

Job Type:
Full-time

Pay:
$45k to 55k annually (pay commensurate with experience) and $100 per day per diem (where applicable/conditions apply).
