This role may require this individual to travel frequently around the globe to various countries where the company has operations. Global Finance Manager DescriptionThe company operates in a decentralized and vertically integrated finance model that is designed to support its Mission of reaching $2 billion US in revenue and US $800 million in EBITDA by FY’20. This is already operating in many countries globally, it is continuing to make new acquisitions and therefore its financials are more complex. The Manager of FP&A will be a key member of the Corporate FP&A team, helping to ensure that our company's financial information is an actual strength for the company.Duties and Responsibilities The Manager/Sr Financial Analyst FP&A will work with the regions to oversee and coordinate the FP&A process, as well as add-value through strategic projects and initiatives focused on improving processes and developing best-in-class analytics to help drive the business forward. Specific areas of responsibility include:The annual budget, quarterly, and monthly forecast, and for improving the accuracy of the forecast process – must understand and be ready to take on heavy analysis responsibilities.The "Business Analytics" that are needed to pre-empt negative trends and risk factors, and to escalate them on a timely basis.The Country Remediation Process.Monthly, Quarterly, Annual and ad-hocreporting.To be successful in this role, this individual must have strong FP&A experience, outstanding Excel skills, Advanced PowerPoint/Keynote abilities, Cognos/HFM/Business Objects Excel Retrieving and be highly analytical.This person should also have the ability to drive margin improvements, implement change and identify efficiencies across the Regions, all in support of the corporate Mission. The Manager/Sr. Financial Analyst FP&A will interface directly with the country finance and leadership teams on a regular basis and be a key advisor to both in achieving/overachieving the Mission.This role may require this individual to travel frequently around the globe to various countries where the company has operations. This role may require this individual to work extended hours to execute quick turnaround drills and/or projects.Overseeing the annualbudget along with monthly forecasts, and for improving the accuracy of the forecast process. Working occasionally as a partner with accounting to ensure properfinancialreporting and forecast process. Stress testing existing process and constantly improving and adapting forecasts to achieve the Mission.Understanding the country specifics as well as the products.Aligning the actions with the company's KPI's (4:1 to 8:1/3:1/1.5x).The "Business Analytics". This is needed to pre-empt negative trends andrisk factors, and to escalate them on a timely basis. He/she will also achieve a better understanding of the (partly local)drivers of our business and supporting decisions on futureinvestments. Working very closely with each region to understand business results and drivers. Developing and implementing best-in-class analytics, metrics and management reporting. Analyzing and defining the dependencies between the different drivers. Proposing implementation of new or adapted drivers.The Country Remediation/Forecasting Process. Participating in the remediation process on a regional basis.Challenging the forecast of the countries to identify early the necessary steps of the remediation process;Monitoring the different action plans depending on the status of the remediation.Following up on the defined actions and tracking their implementation.Ad-hocprojects and analysis which could include:Financial modelling and analysis related to acquisitions.Developing enhanced management reports and metrics to help support improved decision making and achievement of the Mission.Recommending and leading global process improvements to increase efficiencies and free up more time to focus on value-added analytics.Education and ExperienceRequired to have a minimum of 8 to 10years of experience with FP&A. Must be very comfortable with FP&A, forecasting, trends analysis and be willing to be hands-on in this area.MBA is a plus.Ideally has had experience in a high margin and high-growth industry.Strong general business acumen; excellent understanding of industry, financial analysis/management, P&L, Cash Flow and budgeting.Effective in using state of the art analysis tools to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful accurate forecasts. Strong ERP systems experience.Advanced financial modelling skills.Ability to operate in a manner consistent with SLH’s Principles.
