In this role, the selected candidate will be the primary point of contact for understanding broad consumer behaviors taking into accounts both POS data and consumer research. Location: Bannockburn, IllinoisLooking for an energetic and focused Customer Marketing Manager to manage trademarketing activity for key product categories in US and Canadian markets.  This role will be the primary point of contact for understanding broad consumer behaviors taking into accounts both POS data and consumer research.This role will report to the Director of Product Marketing.Responsibilities:Align with product management and sales managers to develop strategic and tactical plans to profitably grow key product categories across brick and mortar and online retailers.Manage dissemination of consumer behavior information across the organization and to customers through the sales team.Develop trade and customer-specific product assortment and promotion strategies, including merchandising, print vehicles and digitalmarketing (content and promotional), to maximize sales and ROI.Work with account management to optimize co-op and business development funds to drive profitable sales.Develop creative and effective new item trade launch plans, including distribution strategy, selling story and collateral materials.  Additionally responsible to track and provide analysis of customer POS on new item launches.Collaborate with account management to develop annual customer business plans, quarterly reviews and participate in major account presentations.Manage company’s rebate and coupon programs as well as the relationships with third parties to execute these efforts.Provide channel and customer insights, category trends and competitive intelligence to internal teams that lead to actionable plans including working with accounts, Nielsen and IRI data. Assess and drive new channel and customer opportunities.Develop, engage and influence key customer contacts such as category managers and customer marketing managers to top customers.Participate in industry and customer trade shows as appropriate.Assist with occasional special projects as determined by Director, Product Marketing.Represent company in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.Represents the companies guiding principles through personal and business interactions with employees, distributors, and colleagues.Requirements:Bachelor’s DegreeBachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, or related field, MBA preferred.Minimum of five (5) years of experience with marketing.
