The Director, Talent Acquisition for a Major Marketing company will define and implement a scalable, high-growth talent acquisition strategy aligned with the Company?s short and long term business goals. Director, Talent AcquisitionThe Director, Talent Acquisition for a Major Marketing company will define and implement a scalable, high-growth talent acquisition strategy aligned with the Company’s short and long term business goals.S/he will examine the current recruitment processes and redefine such that a robust talent pipeline of high quality candidates who can further the Company's business objectives are introduced to the organization. This will be accomplished by implementing “a strategic, multi-channel sourcing of passive and active candidates approach.”Responsibilities will include: · Meet with internal clients to understand the Company’s business goals and subsequently create an aligned talent acquisition strategy.· Work with the HR Generalist team to develop relevant workforce plans that are forward looking, and satisfy the current and future requirements of the business · Identify best practices for strategically identifying candidates that have the greatest fit with the Company's needs· Oversee full life cycle recruitment: strategic sourcing, pre-screening, applicant testing, interviewing, negotiating offers, closing qualified candidates and on-boarding new employees into the Company· Responsible for overall recruitment of positions in a wide variety of professions (e.g. entry level sales, marketing, technology, media, finance, operations) · Reinvent the organization’s college campus recruitment strategy to source high potential entry level candidates for its Sales Development Program· Manage the recruitment and placement process ensuring compliance with current laws, regulations and company policies· Leverage the Company's applicant tracking software (JobVite) and ensure all recruiters and HR Generalists are optimally using the software· Manage and develop a team of two recruiters and collaborate with HR Generalists to appropriately delegate the assignment of open position requisitions · Not only delegate position requisitions to his/her team of recruiters, but assume responsibility for filling open requisitions at times when requisition volume is high and when key defined positions need to be filled· Work with the team of recruiters to set the social media communication strategy for open positions· Train managers on "best in class" interviewing techniques and approaches· Identify and negotiate contracts with key on-line recruiting sites (e.g. LinkedIn,, etc.)· Identify, negotiate and engage third party partners who can help accelerate and/or enhance the Company's recruitment process (e.g. search firms, data providers)· Responsible for creating and maintaining the Company’s recruitment budget · Monitor and continuously reduce the costs of the recruitment process · Maintain relationships with appropriate networking groups, organizations, associations and vendors · And other duties as assigned by management Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree· Preferred: a minimum of 8 - 12  years recruiting experience with a minimum of 3years in a leadership role· Technical and/or Digitalrecruitment experience a plus · Based in NYC with travel to the CT. office on a weekly basis.· Travelrequired within the U.S. and Canada (5-10% annuallyDesired Skills and Competencies: · A “get it done” approach · Recruiting expertise either within a search firm or a corporation · Passion for finding great talent by networking and online searching· Exceptional sourcing capabilities · Strong negotiation skills· Proven successful candidate placement· Proficiency in using an Applicant Tracking System · Ability to represent the Company in the most professional way while conveying our Company’s culture, values and brands throughout the interview process · Ability to mentor and motivate direct reports to create a high functioning recruitment team · Process-orientation with analytical instincts· Strong organizational and project management skills· Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, verbal and written
