Job Title: DIRECTOR OF SALES OPERATIONSLocation: TACORI HEADQUARTERS LOS ANGELESFLSA Status: EXEMPTScheduled Hours: AS NEEDEDMAJOR FUNCTION: This position is responsible for planning and implementing sales,leading and guiding a team of Territory Managers in an organization.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Motivate through inspiration and mobilize a team of 15 team members which include Territory Managers and Territory Liaisons : create a comfortable working environment, establish an atmosphere for discussions, and seek for feedback.• Leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales plans and initiative• Monitor, and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward• Coach Territory Managers on their individual development and career opportunities and act as a mentor: conduct frequent meetings with Territory Managers, support Territory Manager in development planning and fulfillment.• Drive talent development strategy; know current talent and prepare talent for advancement and growth• Contribute to the hiring process in finding the best candidate for the position• Develop and maintain training material for team and actively participate in ongoing training• Helps coordinate and organize trainings as needed, history, product, merchandising, selling techniques• Follow through and maintain the bonus plan• Organize and coordinates management of sales related events including in store events, Trade Shows, company sponsored sales events, and conferences. This includes building and maintaining the overall sales appointments schedule, order process and processing, and other related areas as necessary.• Driving solutions-focused and actionable communication from field to Tacori headquarters and to retailers• Execution and follow up of Tacori event planning and Tacori event package distribution• Provides results driven and thoughtful direction to sales individual contributors that improves sales skill• Effectively communicate strategies with sales team, and manage the effectiveness of those objectives/goals in line with company goals.• Develop and create several reports ie. sales reports, weekly/monthly/quarterly TM reports, follow up reports• Attend Weekly Manager's meeting• Must be able to execute and follow-through on all projects assigned• Take initiative to go beyond the ordinary to differentiate us from the competition and create loyaltySPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:• College degree preferred.• Demonstrated 10 + years of experience in leadership, motivation and sales management• Experience with Microsoft Dynamic Navision preferred but not required• Experience with Sales Force preferred but not required.• Highly adaptable and excited to operate in a fast-paced environment• Knowledge of luxury brands preferred• Highly collaborative and great with people; will be a good listener and create relationships quickly with colleagues and business partners.
