Job Description:
This position will have complete ownership of the solution pricing to customers as well as leading with Contracting/Legal the negotiation of deal terms and conditions. Job Overview:This position is in the commercial segment of CenturyLink’s Pricing and Offer Management team.  The preferredlocation is Denver, CO. This position will have complete ownership of the solution pricing to customers as well as leading with Contracting/Legal the negotiation of deal terms and conditions.Job Responsibilities:  Financially evaluate sales opportunities and provide risk assessment of customer requested terms and conditions, including business case preparation and executive presentation.Consult with, and lead, various internal organizations who also participate in the pricing/contracts process (i.e. Business Service Delivery & Operations, Network, Legal, Product Management, Treasury, Finance, Billing & Engineering)Negotiate pricing and contract terms directly with customersPosition requires overall marketing understanding, development, and the application of the pricing, “P”. Position will require the ability to make sense of complex data and translate that data into meaningful analysis as well as the ability to report, interpret, and summarize results.  Position will be working with, negotiating with and providing reporting and feedback to Director, VP, SVP and EVP partners in Strategic Pricing, Product Management, Product Development, Product Marketing, Business Sales and Finance. Position will develop and implement pricing strategies appropriate to changing market conditionsProvide reporting support on the key metric drivers for the Pricing Offer Management team, Finance and ManagementProvide & communicate Executive based reporting & analysis of projects.  These projects are both recurring and adhoc in nature, with a need for creative thinking and approach in developing findings/recommendations  Ability to establish and foster key relationships within the organizationAbility to understand detail/complex data  and translate into actionable/understandable termsAbility to take ownership and personally drive projects and objectives to completionStrategic in supporting and completing projects with a strong degree of creativity and flexibility, from both a production stand-point but also in connecting the ‘strategic dots’    Devises methods, modifies or adapts standard procedures to meet varied situationsHigh attention to detailHighly motivated to perform and contributeHigh level of inquisitiveness; asking ‘why’; finding better solutionsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Marketing or related discipline fieldEight or more years Finance, Marketing and/or Telecommunications experience; or, five years of Finance, Marketing and/or Telecommunications experience AND accounting or Finance degreeExpertise in Finance disciplineExperience in pricing telecommunications offeringsExcellent working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheet and presentation software (Excel and PowerPoint)Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skillsSelf-directedProject Management skillsGoal and detail orientedWillingness to work overtime and travel as necessaryAbility to manage financial models and develop business casesDemonstrated advanced Excel skills including formula writing and  spreadsheet sorting/organizing/manipulationProficiency with MS Word and PowerpointStrong Financial modeling ability including offline Excel model creation and full understanding of fixed-vs.-variable expense classifications, EBITDA, NPV, DCF, IRR, WACC, depreciation, etc.Preferred Qualifications:MBAExperience working with executive managementPrior experience in Pricing and Offer Management working in support of a large, national sales forceAbility to work independently with little supervision and be able to effectively multi-task in a very fast paced environment
