Tillman Infrastructure, a private infrastructure company operating throughout the US, is currently searching for a Real Estate Paralegal to join our rapidly growing cellular operations in our New York City office. Responsibilities will include assisting with the intake of new title orders, entering information in the legal databases, reviewing deeds and online resources to order title as well as assisting legal counsel with the preparation, execution and filing of real estate legal documents and interacting with title insurance companies to resolve various title exceptions. Additional duties include drafting template legal documents related to acquisition, leasing and contract matters under the supervision of an attorney; maintaining and updating files in the legal database and forecast dates for completion of milestones through project completion, and maintaining legal files and systems for preservation of legal documents including leases, scanning documents and maintaining an index for long term electronic storage. Other support for the Legal Department will be required as requested by attorneys, including performing administrative tasks related to tracking site issues, creating files, scanning documents, mailing and faxing necessary documents.
Qualified candidates must have a paralegal certificate or related paralegal experience with real estate transactions. Knowledgeable in the review of title insurance commitments and supporting documents and securing title insurance policies in real estate transactions for both sales and leases. Notary public in the State of New York preferred. The selected individual must be a self-starter with outstanding oral and written communication skills including communicating effectively with company vendors and colleagues. Strong attention to detail skills as well as strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task within strict timeframes through milestones and project completion in a fast-paced and changing environment. Proficiency in Word required.
