As part of the Network Operations team, FieldInstallation Tech I/II will provide support to multi-functional team of R&D, Program Management, Core Networking, RF Engineering, Transport and Technical/Training Support to fulfill multi-technology wireless network deployments and installations across customer markets (residential or business customer locations).
Installation of Samsung equipment in Samsung end-customer facility (residence or office) Support troubleshooting of all T-1, ATM backbone, microwave backhaul transmission methodology Support RMA process tracking and documentation for MMBS equipment Inside wiring (per Samsung requirements and MOP) Operate and follow standard industry installation, wiring, cabling protocols for cable routing and wall penetrations Complete weather proofing and protection on any external wall penetrations External installation of equipment per standard installation protocols and Samsung guidelines Management of all assigned Samsung equipment inventory in the field (includes spare equipment) Perform other installation, testing, and tasks as assigned from time to time Report to POC with daily status of activities Previous experience with WiFi deployments preferred IMPORTANT: Technicians must present themselves in a professional and organized manner, must have excellent communication skills, be courteous, dressing in business casual attire to properly represent Samsung and its customers (polo shirt, khakis, close toed shoes that meet the OSHA guidelines (no sneakers), visible tattoos must be covered)
Bachelors Degree; 2-5 years work experience in the wireless industry Knowledge of CDMA/EVDO and LTE/Volte technologies a plus Must have a strong work ethic, integrity and work extremely well in a team environment Aptitude for creativity and innovation Working knowledge of Base Station Vendor equipment (Samsung, Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson) Proficient in MS Office package Flexible during times of change Strong trouble-shooting skills and problem resolution skills Strong written communications skills Strong interpersonal communication skills Proven ability prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment
* Pre-approved Flight/deployment expenses for any requested travel outside the region/market are reimbursable. Pre-approval must be in writing and approved by a Director level or above.
