Senior Finance Manager - National Medicare & Medicaid Finance*Medicare / Healthcare - budget development CMS Medicare bid process Risk adjustment experience.*10% Travel between the Mid-Atlantic (Maryland) and Georgia region.*Senior Manager of Finance, National Medicare Finance, East Regions.Rockville, MDSalary: $106K-$150K + 12% BonusRegional Relocation Assistance AvailableThe Senior Manager of Finance provides the financial leadership for the Medicare line of my clients business in the Georgia and MidAtlantic Regions.The position is accountable for the preparation, support, and influence of strategies, financial plans, operational and care delivery improvements, and governmental regulatory filings that strongly contribute to the short and long-term success of the Medicare line of business in the Regions.In addition to regional activities, the Senior Manager of Finance assists in the development and/or support of various national initiatives aimed at enhancing the Medicare Line of Business across all of my clients operational regions.The Senior Manager of Finance manages a team of professionals located in the Georgia and MidAtlantic Regions.Essential Functions:Strategic Financial Analyses:Oversees the development of Medicare budgets and forecasts, including all components of Medicare reimbursement.Works closely with Financial Planning & Analysis and care delivery partners to ensure accurate line of business budgets, forecasts and financial statements are prepared and presented.Works closely with numerous regional and national partners (i.e., Medicare Line of Business leaders, Actuarial Services, Sales, Marketing, Benefits Administration, Financial Planning & Analysis, etc.) in the preparation and management of the annual CMS Medicare bid process. This includes both contributing to strategies and the technical components of the bid preparation process.Creates, conducts and/or oversees the development of various financial analyses aimed at identifying and/or supporting Medicare initiatives and strategies in the region, including but limited to service area expansions/reductions, new product introductions, and benefit /pricing decisions.Works with national and regional partners, including the Company Medical Group, on various care delivery strategies aimed at improving both the quality and affordability of care to members.Directs budget to actual reporting and variance analyses, including providing insights to various business leaders on actionable areas of opportunity.Risk Adjustment:In conjunction with key business partners (including the regional Company Medical Groups, coding, decision support, and national risk adjustment teams), influences the development and execution of risk adjustment strategies and initiatives.Ensures that risk adjustment activities and risks are accurately reflected in all financial projections.Other:Supports monthly close activities, including serving as conduit between NMF and regional Accounting teams.Maintains current knowledge of changes in Federal Medicare and HMO regulations and requirements.Participates and supports in internal and external financial and/or regulatory audits, including the remediation of any potential audit findings.Leads, directs, and/or participates, as appropriate, in cross-regional and national work teams.Promotes the sharing and implementation of best practices both regionally and nationally.Manages the resolution of diverse and complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of multiple functions and company objectives.•Creates and maintains an environment within the department that enables all staff to meet their full potential individually and as a team.Encourages individual, teamTHRIVE and community support activities.Oversees and prioritizes the work of NMF staff in both the Georgia and MidAtlantic regions.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:*Minimum three (3) years of management experience.*Minimum eight (8) years of related experience.*Bachelor's degree in related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.*High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.*Requires advanced knowledge of own area of functional responsibility and working knowledge of multiple related functions.*Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.PreferredQualifications:MBA or similar advanced degree.Medicare experience.
