POSITION: Installation Supervisor Level 4 - DC power Plants LOCATION: McDonough, GA/Hanover, MD/Virginia/Florida/South Carolina/NC/D.C.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Looking for a professional Level 4 Installation Lead / Supervisor to work in Central Office Environments and Cell Sites, which includes but not limited to DC and AC Power Installation, Batteries, Power Plants, Cabling, Ironwork, Aux-Framing Build-Outs, etc. for various customer requested telecommunications projects. Person in this position will coordinate with Airwaves Telecom LLC. engineering for office records updates, Power Specifications and assists in bidding preparations if required. This job should require limited assistance from the AIRWAVES TELECOM Management and the Level 4 Installer/Supervisor is considered lead worker or “In Charge” A Level 4 Installation Lead / Supervisor must have the proven experience in all aspects of the business. Person in this position will be in charge of subordinates with a lower level index. Responsible for the start and completion of each project, must result in a quality, on time, profitable product that is presented to our customer. A Technician at this level will be personally responsible for maintaining his/her respective certifications unless otherwise negotiated in an employment agreement and the overall safety of all subordinates.
• Minimum of four to six years' telecommunications training and/or experience. Must have demonstrated proficiency and profitability at the Technician IV level. • Must possess a valid US Driver's License • High school or equivalent. Vocational/Technical! Business School desired. • Think critically and problem solve. • Handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion. • Good judgment. • Organizational skills. • Customer service skills. • Mechanically inclined. • Must have color vision and good hearing. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Vendor Specific Software. • Good vision and hearing. • Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Supervises, trains, provides work direction and problem solving assistance for other workers. • Following and presenting an M.O.P. Method of procedures • Staging all the equipment and inventorying material for accuracy. • Supervising/Working with subordinates and monitoring their work ethics for efficiency, quality, and safety. • Supervise all starts, breaks, and quitting time for each project and each crew • Responsible for the accuracy in the installation of AC and DC equipment installed per provided Engineering Specifications. • Tests for completeness of wiring, cabling, equipment, cable racking, etc. to ensure it is installed correctly • Responsible for the accuracy of all the final paperwork required and turned over to the customer and AIRWAVES TELECOM Engineering in a timely manner. • Completes quality assurance procedure and check the final product for errors • Ensure the safety, quality, and efficiencies of the crew. • Interfaces with customer contacts on projects and work orders per instructions from AIRWAVES TELECOM Engineering • Interfaces with the end user (contact person) and coordinates with other vendors for each project when required by customer. • Provides technical support for customer contacts and Technicians on request • Attends project planning and progress meetings with or without the customer contacts assigned • Understands, adheres to, and promotes the Environmental, Health & Safety policies of AIRWAVES TELECOM • Have the ability to coordinate and execute large transition and power jobs with minimal supervision
• Use hand tools and power tools as required for the job. • Walking, Prolonged standing, climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds • Carrying of loads or equipment up and down stairs, reaching and/or grasping • Stooping, kneeling, bending, crawling, and crouching. • Carrying, pushing and/or pulling • Heavy physical effort (usually lifting/moving up to 70 pounds) • Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions • Exposure to chemicals and solvents in Central Office Environments • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards • Use of standard office equipment • Have a valid driver’s license • Understanding that most of our work is done in the service window • Must be able to drive at night
