Since 1996, the Company has been publicly traded on the NYSE and NASDAQ under the symbol FDS.FactSet is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance department at our corporate headquarters.  This position will be responsible for working closely with all department managers in the Company including working with executive management and the Board of Directors.This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller.Responsibilities for this position include:·         Draft all SEC filings including quarterly Form 10-Qs, Annual 10-Ks and periodic reports·         Prepare all SEC 16 filings·         Stay abreast with key financialreporting and disclosure developments·         Research accounting and financialreporting issues to determine impact on the Company·         Assist in adoption of on new accounting pronouncements by the FASB, SEC and IASB to determine impact on the Company including resolution of technical accounting issues·         Test key internal controls to aid in the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance effort·         Prepare derivative accounting entries·         Perform various month-end and quarter-end financial analyses and schedules for the Finance teamRequirements:This position requires a desire to perform the SEC reporting function. The ability to balance multiple tasks and work under firm deadlines is a strong key to success. In addition, the candidate for this position should possess the following:·         Strong understanding of accounting rules (FASB, SEC, etc.)·         Previous experience in public accounting, preferably 2-4years·         Minimum 2-4years of experience in preparing and/or reviewing SEC filings·         Internal controls exposure with regards to dealing with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing·         Ability to present and discuss accounting issues with members of management·         Excellent organizational skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner·         BA in Accounting·         CPA license preferred·         Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
