Job Description:
CNX is seeking applicants for Director of Business Development for both the Southeast Region (TN, GA or FL) and the Northeast Region (NY, NJ or PA).

The Director of Business Development is a high impact role that requires strong business and customer relationship development skills as well as technical broadband acumen. This position will drive CNX’s growth through managing the sales process, including lead generation and managing the RFP process for the region.

The Director of Business Development will interact with Clients, specifically municipal officials who are the owners, trustees, and managers of vertical and horizontal assets which can be utilized to promote broadband connectivity. Applicants should be able to devise and articulate approach strategies best suited to target clients as well as construct complex consulting and program management partnerships devised at accelerating local 5g deployments.

• Achieve and maintain identified quarterly business development revenue targets in support of company profitability
• Identify key markets of opportunity, for asset based and consulting based CNX client services
• Expand regional client market based opportunities in pursuit of company profitability
• Maintain a client-oriented focus while building consultative client long term relationships
• Maintain product and service expertise for all CNX service types
• Expand existing client project margins through promotion of additional service offerings
• Identify and engage strategic partners, alliances, and relationships to expand client visibility and attract new customer facing revenue opportunities
• Act as initial primary contact and account management for client organizations
• Respond to RFP, RFI, and RFQ opportunities as required
• Assist with identified proposal, product offerings description, or other client document production, as required
• Report weekly progress via CMR systems as directed and to CNX executive staff as required
• Coordinate with respective CNX team members to support existing opportunities and expand additional market opportunities
• Engage civic organizations for group meetings, presentations, and networking in support of company strategic goals
• Provide support for other client facing or operational initiatives as directed
• Responsibilities are not all inclusive, additional duties may be assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree with ten plus years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience required. Demonstrated track record of effective and efficient new business development, sales and new account development preferred.
• Desired areas of experience include Wireless Site Development, Fiber Planning, Network Design and Management, Municipal Administration, and/or Sales, and Telecom Consulting.
