Job Description:
Work closely with the GP&H finance director and GPH finance manager to support business leadership by providing financial data for key business decisions. The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide analytical support for the operational arm of the GP&H business ("GHE"). It has primary accountability for gathering and presenting consolidated monthly forecasts, reviewing variances versus those forecasts, compiling and analyzing both AOP and STRAP, and various other periodic financial analyses. This person will have direct accountability for a clear understanding and presentation of all active GPH projects and all facets of costs that make up GHE.Responsibilities:Work closely with the GP&H finance director and GPH finance manager to support business leadership by providing financial data for key business decisionsConsolidate monthly forecasts including project financials, OEF, indirect, balance sheet, & regional outlookWork closely aside ES&E personnel to gather and analyze all operational metrics of GHE including personnel billability, project financials, cost center reporting, productivity tracking, and more.Prepare monthly GHE dashboards to allow efficient presentation and usage of GHE data.Coordinate with other UOP FP&A leads to develop/align standardized financial and operational metrics across UOP.Participate in the SIOP process to help ensure a consolidated message is communicatedImprove work processes to meet forecast accuracy targetsAnalyze source expense variances / trends including indirect spend and OEFLead consolidated process of presenting financial walks to UOP managementLead monthly financial review of projects to ensure accurate and timely estimates are maintained by project teamsGather data for ad hoc UOP requests (tracking breakthrough strategies, key initiatives, bookings updates, NPI tracking, & more)Provide financial assistance on any acquisition or growth related activitiesBasic RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance3-5years progressive Finance experiencePreferred RequirementsSix Sigma training and/or certification preferredKnowledge of Project accountingDemonstrated Business Partnering skillsCollaborative work style and ability to influence othersResults oriented with strong process improvement mindset (change agent) Analytic, integrative and problem solving skills Effective communication and organization skillsSelf-motivated with ability to manage multiple demands Working knowledge of SAP and HFM preferredWell versed with Microsoft Office Suite
