Job Description:
TelForce Group is looking for a DC Power Installer in the Jacksonville, NC area. This is a 5-month contract position. We are looking for all Levels- I, II, III and IV.

DC Power Installer Description:
• Perform in Central Office, Cell Sites and Headend on MTSO
• Perform battery and power plant (BDFB, rectifiers, inverters, PDU, etc.) installation
• Sew, lace, stitch and tie wrap cables as required- previous experience required
• Power transition work, additional and removal of batteries, addition and removal of circuits
• Power distribution sources, equipment test and turn up
• Clear communication with the management
• Work under GR-1275 Telcordia standards
• Able to create, interpret and explain site drawings, specs and schematics
• Installing power cabinets (-48V)/Purcell cabinets on outdoor sites
• Running AC electrical (110/220V)
• DC electrical (-48V) from the power cabinet to the equipment cabinet
• Running conduit
• Buss bar placement and grounding
• For indoor sites, mounting 19” equipment racks and associated equipment (BBU’s, fiber term panels, fiber storage trays, AC/DC converters, buss bars and grounding)
• Running DC Power (250AMP circuits) from existing power board to the converters
• Expert efficiency in the overall installation and maintenance of power systems and batteries
• DC audits, site survey and other power related preventative maintenance

DC Power Installer Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with battery and DC Power
• Thorough understanding of and experience with DC Power equipment and lead-acid battery
• Knowledge of TL9000 system quality and safety standards
• Experienced working in live hot atmosphere for -48VDC connections
• Capable of configuring DC Power bays, 2V and 12V batteries for DC, rectifiers, secondary distribution, auxiliary framing and cable racking
• Ability to test and troubleshoot DC Power equipment
• Knowledge of DC Power equipment for installation
• Ability to install and maintain equipment of battery racks, cable trays and racking systems
• Knowledge of conduct voltage and resistance test loads and testing as directed
• Ability to perform disconnects
• Ability to repair and upgrade rectifiers
• Ability to check problems with battery plants, cable and backup DC
• Knowledge of power equipment systems and QC audit procedures in the field
• Ability to communicate clear both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to lift up to 100+ pounds
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
