Maverick is seeking a Telecom Executive to support our growing engineering and construction team. The Telecom Executive position will be leading the Engineering division, with responsibility for success and growth financially. The ideal candidate has experience leading divisional teams in engineering and construction, sales experience setting an agenda to grow and sustain teams, Profit and Loss comprehension, strong contractual and negotiation skills for new and existing client management. The leadership role will be responsible for the success and growth of the entire Telecom division. Past history with FTTX. Make Ready, Rural Broadband and Grid Modernization projects plus
The role will comprise of daily interactions with the engineering staff in matters relating to design engineering, and communication with clients and the project manager about design services and production. Cohesion and support for the VP of Construction in a managerial and sales capacity. It shall require the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment scheduling and organizing the Design team associated deliverables; mitigate and critically solve deliverable problem; manage an engineering team while growing the overall division. The position will provide the opportunity to organize a small team, communicate with clients and manage to a schedule and design budget. Travel to teams, clients and sales meetings is a must as the schedule demands.
Responsibilities:
Weekly reporting to the President Supporting Engineering team for final decision point Sales strategy and execution for overall Telecom Services Division 5-7 trade shows per year Client management execution plan with construction and engineering teams Accounts Receivable collections with clients Escalation point for problem solving and internal managerial needs Crisis management with clients and programs Analyzing budgets, jobs and monthly tracking for profitability Final sign off for change orders and job openings Annual strategy planning for execution and growth.
Qualifications: Masters or Bachelor Degree in engineering or business administration (related degrees) Strong engineering skills and technical knowledge of fiber networks Experience managing budgets and contracts in excess of $10 million Experience managing teams of 50 or more personnel Strong background and proven network in sales Strong understanding of ESRI GIS Strong Outside Plant Network knowledge 10+ years of telecommunication experience Proficient or Expert in MS Office and Excel Creative and analytical mind with a willingness to learn Must enjoy working in a fast paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing work environment Highly flexible in daily duties and level of responsibility Excellent oral and written communication skills Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and background check requirements
