The City of Ketchikan is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS/SERVER ENGINEER for the Telecommunications Division of Ketchikan Public Utilities. This position is responsible for the operating systems, applications, software integration, and automation of tasks related to the operation of the Division, which includes software programming and scripting languages necessary to carry out tasks to increase reliability, improve functionality and productivity of the Division. Regular, full-time; with a monthly wage of $9,390.53 - $10,898.11 DOE, plus benefitswhich includes 3-weeks of vacation, 12 days of sick leave, 9 holidays and 4 open/floating holidays your first year with a relocation stipend available. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in electrical engineering or related field and five years of increasingly responsible telecommunications engineering experience, which includes 2 years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
