Does taking precise measurements and accurately recording data about the Earth fascinate you? Our firm is seeking experienced driver to travel from site to site, across the nation to record/collect the data from the field using Lidar truck. Our field techs gain on-the-job training, knowledge and experience in advanced surveying and mapping technology. You will learn the ins and outs of surveying and basic mapping skills under the direction of experienced surveyors.
Job Responsibilities:
• Learn the operation of terrestrial LiDAR scanning equipment • Field Data Collection for telecom/utility projects using the Lidar truck • Load and unload survey equipment and supplies each day • Capture pole pictures and measure using a measuring wheel and height stick when necessary • Other duties as requested by the Survey Crew Chief or Project Manager • Clean and maintain survey equipment Required: • CDL Class A License/ Valid driver’s license (one of the option) • a) Minimum 18 months of driving experience and 150,000 miles driven (Either a or b) • b) Experienced Driver with favorable driving record • High School Diploma or GED required • Ability to use standard survey equipment as instructed • Willingness to travel across USA and Canada • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to 2 to 3 weeks continuous stay • Outdoor work in all safe climate conditions.
