|Summary ISP Engineer
Provide equipment/application engineering design in support of assigned projects covering new site design, additions, deletions, and relocation's. Prepare detailed installation specifications and drawings in accordance with applicable industry standards and maintain allocated project schedules and planned budgets. Issue detailed drawings & purchase requirements for all electronics and hardware required for specific sites, and provide coordinated field support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and maintain project engineering & design in accordance with accepted engineering guidelines and industry standards.
Involved in system design and deployment including but not limited to; primary customer contact, engineering specifications, equipment/material procurement, project coordination, and project acceptance.
Analyze customer requests, conducts site surveys, help develop proposals, and assist installation manager in the planning, organization and development of all projects.
Maintain current technical knowledge of the applicable equipment and engineering standards to generate high quality specifications.
Cost effective and timely implementation & coordination of detailed equipment engineering specifications for all assigned customers. Responsible for assigned projects engineering and material budget.
Maintain and update all technical documentation including engineering application standards, equipment manuals, technical bulletins, etc. as required.
Candidates must be familiar with Frontier ISP engineering and installation practices with strong knowledge of the following Frontier systems INFINIUM, NEEDS, DSLNET, COVANGLE and VARASSET.
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience related to the communications engineering field. Four to five years telecommunications/electrical engineering experience.
