Northcentral Telcom, Inc. (NCT), a nationally positioned EF&I vendor based out of Wisconsin is searching for qualified candidates to travel nationwide performing installation and/or test & turn up on telecom equipment. Position entails: Installation or removal of common systems, digital switch, transport and power into central offices; running, pulling, terminating and splicing cables; building ironwork and ladder racks; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials and tools; labeling and routing equipment and cables; reading, understanding and following technical publications and industry standards.

Per Diem will apply based on installer status (local or traveling)
Level 2 Installation candidates must have a minimum of 1.5 years’ experience in central office installation. Demonstrated proficiency at cable lacing, cable butting, wire wrapping and lead verification is required.
Installers at levels 3 & 4 must have a minimum of four years of CO experience and along with the above requirements. you also must have an understanding of equipment drawings, job specs, TEO's and site survey forms. You must be able to provide work assignments to crews; follow strict quality guidelines and have excellent computer skills. Test & Turn Up experience is desired for all levels. This position requires 100% travel. Travel is generally by air with subsequent rental vehicle at project location, but may require the use of your personal vehicle traveling site to site. Must possess and supply personal tools to comply with the list provided by NCT. Must be willing and able to transport personal and company provided tools and equipment in a safe and secure manner. Other Requirements include but are not limited to: Valid and clean driver's license Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings Ability to pass customer mandated annual security background checks High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) Full motor movement of arms, hands, fingers and legs Able to lift and/or carry 50lbs. as required Ability to sit, stand, kneel and squat for long periods of time Ability to work full time, Monday through Friday, with some nights and weekends Basic math skills Ability to read a tape measure
